SHEETROCK® Brand ULTRACODE® Core Gypsum Panels

Offer enhanced fire resistance. These panels can achieve a two-hour fire rating with single-layer construction when used with mineral wool insulation in steel framed walls.
SHEETROCK ULTRACODE Core gypsum panels use a specially formulated, high-strength core, and are ¾”thick. They can provide 1, 2, 3 and 4 hr. fire ratings with fewer layers of gypsum panels than are usually required when used in approved designs. Because fewer layers are needed, ULTRACODE Core panels can reduce labor and material costs. The panels also provide added abuse-resistance. Width: 4’; lengths: 8’, 9’, 10’or 12’; edge: tapered; finish: manila face paper, suitable for paint or other decoration.
The panels score and snap easily, apply quickly, and may be decorated as soon as the joint treatment is dry. They resist cracking and warping, and their panel edges are less prone to fastener blowouts, minimizing potential joint imperfections.
