Curvatura Help

Genetic Code

When you first access the Curvatura Design Tool, the Genetic Code check box in the lower right of the main screen it is not checked. Turning on this function enables you to create a profile by manually typing the genetic codes, the alphanumeric product codes, for Curvatura tee segments.

Click on the Genetic Code check box to turn the function on.

A row of fields appears above the display of tee segments at the bottom of the main screen. In the first field, enter the starting height of the suspension system in feet (1-foot increments). You may use the height legend on the Y-axis of the editing area as a guide. Use “Enter” or “Tab” to move between the fields. In the second field, enter the slope angle in degrees for the first tee. Then type in the codes for tee segments (for example: 10A) in the order desired. The segments will appear in the profile, just as if you had clicked on the tee displayed in the tee toolbox.

You may use the Delete function from the menu or the Delete key to remove the last segment placed. You may also rotate the system. However, if you wish to use the other editing tools from the menu, you must turn off Genetic code entry by clicking on the Genetic code box. You will see a Warning Message that you will not be able to return to genetic code entry again, unless you clear the system and start over.

To turn this function off, click on the Genetic Code check box again.
