Frost ClimaPlus High-NRC/High-CAC acoustical ceiling panels are the perfect choice for architects, designers and acousticians. The fine-textured, sag-resistant acoustical panels offer superior sound control, delivering an excellent combination of noise reduction (NRC - .75) and ceiling attenuation (CAC - 40) values, making them ideal for use in multiple areas within the same building, including both open and closed office plan designs.
The panels are manufactured with a cast process that enhances their surface appearance while imparting excellent sound absorption and durability. The cast process distributes color uniformly throughout each panel, masking nicks and scratches. The panels clean easily with a brush or vacuum.
The abuse-resistant panels deliver nearly twice the impact resistance of standard, fine-textured ceiling panels as tested by ASTM C367, and they resist "breathing" (air passing through the panels' surface). Consequently, they remain cleaner for longer periods of time. And they feature Superior Performance, a patented broad-spectrum antimicrobial formulation that inhibits and retards the growth of mold and mildew.
The panels are zero-emitting, with concentration levels that do not exceed 2 µg/m3 (1.6 ppb), the background level specified per California Special Environmental Requirements, Specifications Section 01350. They offer exceptional light reflectance (LR - .88), which translates to fewer light fixtures, lower energy costs, and reduced eyestrain. The panels are available with High Recycled Content (HRC). HRC Ceiling Panels are classified as containing over fifty percent total recycled content. Total recycled content is based on product composition of post-consumer and pre-consumer (post-industrial) recycled content per FTC guidelines.
The panels offer a 30-year system warranty to withstand conditions up to 104° F (40° C)/95-percent relative humidity without visible sag when used with a USG DONN® suspension system. They are guaranteed resistant to mold and mildew growth, subject to normal conditions.
