IMPERIAL® Gypsum Base, FIRECODE® C Core

Designed for direct or resilient attachment to wood or steel framing.They are designed for gypsum veneer plaster systems where increased fire-resistance ratings are required.
IMPERIAL Gypsum Base, FIRECODE C Core Combines the advantages of regular IMPERIAL Brand Gypsum Base with additional resistance to fire when used as a component in a fire-related assembly. IMPERIAL Brand Gypsum Base, FIRECODE Core C panels provide greater fire-resistance performance than Type X panels. It is a large size, rigid base for the economical application of veneer plasters. The panels are large enough to be installed like drywall, and have a distinctive blue face paper that provides the qualities desirable for veneer plaster applications. 4 feet wide, the panels are available in ½” and 5/8” thicknesses, in lengths from 8 to 14 feet.
The panels are UL-Classified (Type IP-X2) for use in UL fire-resistant systems.
