What is My Library?

My Library provides an easy way to save and recall USG product information, electronic literature, sample orders and other data relevant to your day-to-day job and projects. The information can be stored in My Library for quick access.

What’s the difference between my primary address and additional addresses?

Your primary address will probably be your office address. You can add additional My Library addresses to have USG information and/or samples and literature delivered to different offices, customers or project sites.

What’s the difference between HTML and plain text email?

HTML emails let you view images, graphics and links within the email. Plain text emails contain only words, with no images, graphics or links.

How many items can I store in My Library?

There are no limits to the number of items you can store in My Library.

Why do you need all this information?

We use your unique information to remember My Library content and to send samples and literature you order. We won’t share your information with anyone. Please read our privacy policy for complete information.

What if I change jobs or addresses?

If your address or email changes, you can easily update My Library information by clicking the Edit Profile tab.

What do the different file types in the Type column mean?

PDF (Portable Document Format) is a universal file format that preserves the fonts, images, graphics and layout of any document. You’ll need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to view this form PDF files.

DOC refers to documents created with Microsoft Word.

DWG and DWF are AutoCAD-based files. They require AutoCAD or the free Volo plug-in.

Can I share My Library?

No, for your security, your My Library contents are protected by your unique email and password combination.

Does registering make me eligible for special offers from USG?

From time to time, USG may make special offers to registered users.

Does My Library expire?

No. If you haven’t accessed your My Library content for some time and have forgotten your password, we can email it to you.

Will you automatically send me email if I register for My Library?

When you order samples and literature, we’ll send an email confirmation containing your order number. You may also sign up to receive USG newsletters and updates. We’ll send these to you only if you’ve opted in to receive them, and you’ll always have the opportunity to remove yourself from our mailing list.

Login & Password

What if I forget my password?

We’ll email your password to you at the email address you provided during registration. Just click the Forgot Password link on the My Library login.

How long does my password have to be? Can I use both letters and numbers?

For your security, your password must be 6-20 characters. Your password can be any combination of letters and/or numbers.

Managing My Library Folders

How do I create a folder?

On the main My Library page, click the Create Folder button. You’ll be prompted to name the new folder.

How do I manage My Library folders?

To duplicate an existing folder:
Check the box by the folder you wish to duplicate, then click the Duplicate button. You’ll be prompted to give the duplicate folder a new name.

To delete a folder:
Check the box by the folder you wish to delete, then click the Delete button.

To rename a folder:
Check the box by the folder you wish to rename, then click the Rename button. You’ll be prompted to rename the folder.

Ordering Samples and Literature

Do I have to register to order USG samples and literature?

Yes. Registering for My Library also lets you ship samples and literature to multiple job locations or offices. My Library also gives you an easy, convenient way to manage USG product information, literature and other resources.

How do I order samples and literature?

Select "Order Samples and Literature" from the left-hand side in the Related Resources box. You will then be prompted to select available pieces. Add them to your cart, and follow instructions to fulfill the mail order.

An order history is available for review at any time at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and as always, ordering samples and literature comes at no cost to you.

Are there limits to what I can order?

You may order up to six total items.

Can I maintain multiple ship-to addresses in My Library?

You can save multiple ship-to addresses, to have samples and literature delivered to different locations: your office, a customer’s location, a job site, etc.
