Solution Our design staff started with USG’s Curvatura™ 3-Dimensional System and sheets of translucent material that could be digitally printed with an image. Initially, the architect planned to work with “stock” images. However, he was unable to find any with sufficient resolution for enlarging to the scale required for the ceiling. He turned to a designer on his staff, who created original art that met the requirements for digital printing at this large size.
Careful coordination between the architect and contractor was key to the success of this project, which delivered a stunning corridor in a most prominent health care facility.
