USG NASCAR Nextel Cup Series™ Contingency Award Program

USG Improving The Finish - NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series™ teams are eligible to participate in the USG Improving the Finish program if they carry the USG contingency decal on the front quarter panels of their race cars throughout the 2005 season. The award recognizes the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup driver who best improves their finish from the green flag to the checkered flag during each NNCS points race. A season-end bonus will be given to the driver who earns the most USG Improving The Finish points throughout the season.

USG Person of the Year 2004: Tony Stewart

Honoring his accomplishments as a leader on and off the track, USG was proud to name Tony Stewart, driver of the No. 20 Home Depot Chevrolet Monte Carlo, the USG Person of the Year in 2004. Stewart was honored for his commitment and dedication towards the betterment of children and communities. In particular, the Tony Stewart foundation raised over $270,000 for the Victory Junction Gang Camp and additionally donated his USG Person of the Year award to Victory Junction.
