Radar Ceramic ClimaPlus acoustical ceiling panels with FIRECODE formulation are medium-textured acoustical panels that prevent sagging. Their unique construction consists of 100-percent ceramic-bonded mineral fiber that withstands high heat, high humidity, and corrosive chemical fumes. Their FIRECODE formulation is designed for added fire protection. They are perfect for exterior soffits, parking garages, pools, shower areas, saunas, and steam rooms and meet U.S. Coast Guard standards for use in high humidity marine applications.
The panels are made with a water-felted manufacturing process that orients mineral fibers, providing excellent sound control and good ceiling attenuation class (CAC) performance. Additionally, these panels feature Inherent Performance which means that due to the ceramic-bonded mineral fiber substrate these panels inherently resist the growth of mold and mildew. The surface of the panel has perforations that aids in sound absorption, and it cleans easily with a soft brush or vacuum. Their FIRECODE™ formulation contains special additives that increase fire resistance and may qualify for use in fire rated assemblies to help meet life safety codes.
RADAR Ceramic ClimaPlus ceiling panels are classified as zero-emitting; concentration levels do not exceed 2 µg/m3 (1.6 ppb), the background level specified per California Special Environmental Requirements, Specifications Section 01350.
The panels offer a ClimaPlus™ 30-year System Warranty to withstand conditions |up to 104˚F (40˚C)/100-percent relative humidity without visible sag when used with USG DONN® Suspension Systems. They are guaranteed resistant to mold and mildew growth, subject to normal conditions.
