USG is affiliated with Gypsum Recycling America, LLC, the American subsidiary of Gypsum Recycling International A/S. New England is the first area in the USA where the company will pilot its drywall recycling program. U.S. Gypsum Co. has committed to purchase the recycled gypsum powder produced by Gypsum Recycling America, as well as provide front end assistance to help grow the business.

We are committed to the environment. USG is a founding member of the U.S. Green Building Council and has a long track record and solid history of environmentally friendly manufacturing practices. For example, USG has used 100 percent recycled face and back papers on SHEETROCK® Brand wallboard since the 1960s.
