Sandrift ClimaPlus acoustical ceiling panels are medium, uniquely textured acoustical panels that produce sag-resistant, custom ceiling designs. They are made with a cast process that enhances the surface appearance and provides excellent sound absorption and durability. The cast process also results in integral color throughout each panel, a quality that masks nicks and scratches. Their long-lasting, abuse resistant surfaces resist scrapes and clean easily with a brush or vacuum. These panels also feature Superior Performance which means they contain a patented broad-spectrum antimicrobial standard formulation that inhibits and retards the growth of mold and mildew. The panels feature high noise reduction coefficients (NRC) and ceiling attenuation class (CAC) values. A backing acts as a sound barrier and resists "breathing" (air passing through the surface), so the surface stays cleaner longer.
The panels are classified as zero-emitting; concentration levels do not exceed 2 µg/m3 (1.6 ppb), the background level specified per California Special Environmental Requirements, Specifications Section 01350. The panels are available with High Recycled Content (HRC). HRC Ceiling Panels are classified as containing over fifty percent total recycled content. Total recycled content is based on product composition of post-consumer and pre-consumer (post-industrial) recycled content per FTC guidelines. In addition, the optional FIRECODE™ formulation contains special additives that increase fire resistance and may qualify for use in fire rated assemblies to help meet life safety codes.
The panels offer a 30-year system warranty to withstand temperature and humidity conditions up to 104°F (40°C)/95-percent relative humidity without visible sag when used with a USG DONN® Suspension System. An extensive color selection provides multiple design options.
