SHEETROCK Abuse-Resistant gypsum panels are a low-cost alternative to more expensive and complicated impact-resistant systems, and offer greater resistance to surface indentation and penetration than standard SHEETROCK® gypsum panels.
The fire-resistant (Type X) panels feature a gypsum core encased in 100-percent recycled heavy natural-finish paper on the face, and strong liner paper on the back. The face paper is folded around the long edges to reinforce and protect the core. Their long edges are tapered, allowing joints to be reinforced and concealed with a USG Interior Finish System.
The panels score and snap easily for quick installation, allowing you to paint, decorate or install trim almost immediately. Available 5/8” thick, 4’ wide and 8’ to 12” lengths.
