SHEETROCK® FIRECODE® Core Gypsum Sheathing Panels

Used in exterior steel or wood framed construction.These sheathing panels are used as a backup for siding, brick veneer, and other similar cladding where fire-resistance ratings are required.
SHEETROCK FIRECODE Core gypsum sheathing has moisture-resistant paper on both sides, along with a moisture-resistant core that provides resistance to moisture and climatic changes.
The fire-resistant (Type X) panels score and snap easily for quick installation and are suitable for application under many exterior surfaces: masonry veneer; wood; mechanically-attached, drainable exterior finish systems; aluminum; steel and vinyl sidings; wood and mineral shingles; and stucco. It is suitable for use in exterior steel- or wood-framed construction for single-family housing, apartments, motels, and light commercial buildings.
