SHEETROCK Mold Tough AR gypsum panels offer greater resistance to surface indentation and impact damage than standard SHEETROCK gypsum panels. They feature a noncombustible moisture- and mold-resistant core encased in moisture- and mold- resistant face and back papers, available with a FIRECODE core.
These crack-, warp-, and abuse-resistant gypsum panels are a low-cost alternative to other partitioning systems that require impact resistance.
In independent lab tests conducted on 5/8" SHEETROCK Mold Tough AR gypsum panels at the time of manufacture, per ASTM D3273, "Standard Test Method for Resistance to Growth of Mold on the Surface of Interior Coatings in an Environmental Chamber," the panels achieved a score of 10.
