Offers superior sag resistance, even when compared to 5/8" gypsum board.It is a ½" board that is ideal for texturing.
SHEETROCK Sag-Resistant Interior Gypsum Ceiling Board prevents ceiling sag where either a water-based decorative texture or drywall-supported insulation is used.
The superior-grade ½" board offers improved sag resistance and lower weight than 5/8" gypsum board, and can be installed with the long edges either parallel or perpendicular to ceiling framing components spaced 24" on center.
The 4' wide board is available in 8' or 12' lengths with standard, tapered edges. The board can support up to 2.2 lb./sq. ft. of insulation and accept either hand- or spray-applied texturing materials.
The board is code compliant for use in non-fire rated construction and complies with ASTMC1396.
