The Memorial Drive Office Park project began with a demolition of the building's existing ballasted EPDM roof system, which was installed over already existing deck structures. Construction crews repaired or replaced damaged gypsum, concrete and metal roof decking as well as other roof structures to set the foundation for a massive undertaking.
Crews then worked to install 195,000 sq. ft. of 1/4-inch SECUROCK® Gypsum-Fiber Roof Board, 38,023 sq. ft. of 4-by-8-foot 2 1/2-inch ISO Board and 353,179 sq. ft. of 4-by-4-foot 2 1/2-inch ISO Board.
The new roof meets Energy Star requirements to be in compliance with the America Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which provided funding for this county government-owned building.
