Overview

Designed to enhance the entire roofing system as a cover, fire and thermal barrier roof board as well as a parapet wall, these boards are high-performing and noncombustible.
As a cover board, Securock® Brand Cement Roof Board can be used with a variety of membranes and systems. It is also ideal for applications such as liquid-applied membranes and cold mastic modified bitumen. As a parapet, fire or thermal barrier roof board, Securock® Brand Cement Roof Board has an unlimited slope classification and is noncombustible.

The lightest cement board in the industry, Securock® Brand Cement Roof Board is easy to handle, cut and fasten. Plus, because it is cement-based, it provides superior compressive strength, water durability and mold resistance and will not rot, warp, delaminate or disintegrate in the presence of water.

  • How many fasteners should be used with Securock® Roof Boards?

    Always refer to a roof design professional and/or FM for the amount of fasteners. We have a fastener pattern sheet that can help you with the placement of fasteners.

  • Where can I find information on handling Securock® Gypsum-Fiber?

    There is a tip sheet for Securock® Gypsum-Fiber that can be found on the product page with a literature reference number RF-18.

  • Do I need special tools to cut Securock® Roof Boards?

    No, Securock® Roof Boards will cut with ordinary utility knifes using a score an snap method. For thicker boards like Securock 1/2" Gypsum-Fiber, two scores will be necessary. For 5/8" Securock Gypsum-Fiber a tool such as a circular saw will be necessary. It is highly recommended that a wet or dry vacuum be attached to the circular saw to reduce the dust and that the person cutting Securock Roof Boards and those in the vicinity of the cut wear a NIOSH approved dust mask.

  • What sizes do Securock® Roof Boards come in?

    Securock® Ultralight Glass-Mat Roof Board comes in 1/4" 4x8, 1/2" 4x8, and 5/8" 4x8.

    Securock® Cement Roof Board comes in 1/2" 4x8.

    Securock® Gypsum-Fiber comes in 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" thickness; 4x4 and 4x8 width/lengths; and there are half pallet options too.
