FIRECODE® Smoke-Sound Sealant is a revolutionary sealant, delivering superior fire, smoke, and acoustical control in one product.
The acrylic, latex-based caulk delivers an exceptional bond regardless of porosity, making it ideal for use as a joint sealant in fire-rated partitions and shaft walls, smoke barriers, through penetration fire-stop systems, and sound-rated assemblies. It is highly elastic and resists sagging on vertical surfaces.
The sealant applies quickly and easily with hand gun equipment, making it ideal for both vertical and horizontal surfaces. It offers a long shelf life and good open time, and with its low VOC latex composition, it is non-staining and cleans easily.
The caulk is classified by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL) under the fire-resistance category of “Fill, Void, or Cavity Materials” (XHHW).
