USG Brings European Design to Ceilings Portfolio

When USG joined the Knauf group, the world’s largest gypsum manufacturer, it was promising new direction for the company. The decision positioned USG to better serve its customers with new products born out of European design, which has come to fruition with the recent launch of three exciting new additions to the USG line of ceiling products: USG Danoline™ Perforated Gypsum Panels, USG Heradesign™ Wood Wool Panels, and USG Acoustic SF™ Accessible Reveal Ceiling Tile.

Danoline™ Perforated Gypsum Panels

Featuring an innovative design that balances both aesthetics and acoustics, USG Danoline™ Perforated Gypsum Panels can help achieve the demands of any project. Manufactured in Denmark, USG Danoline™ will provide uncompromised performance and elegance in any space with its distinctive perforated design that brings a fresh look to USG’s ceilings portfolio.

These Class A panels feature high recycled content and are available in ½” thickness with a high-performing, factory-applied acoustical backer. USG Danoline™ panels will come in 3 different applications:

Lay-In

• Installed with standard acoustical grid system
• Smooth face with 69-to72% light reflectance
• Two reveal edges, flush and recessed
• Available in 2’x2’ and 2’x4’ panels
• Up to 0.80 NRC value
• Ideal for renovations and new construction

Direct Mount

• Ideal for open-plenum or exposed structure designs
• 5 perforation patterns and 2-panel layouts
• Factory painted flat white finish
• Can be field painted
• Available in 3’x8’ and 4’x8’ panels

Wall and Ceiling

• Versatility allows for wall-to-wall installation for ceilings and walls
• Installed and finished as standard drywall
• 4-sided tapered edge
• 4 perforation patterns and 2 pattern layouts
• Available in 4’x8’ panels
• 0.55 to 0.70 NRC values

Heradesign™ Wood Wool Panels

With the inclusion of Heradesign™, USG will be able to offer customers a high-class acoustic system based on wood wool for both ceiling and wall installations. These panels are an essential contribution in creating unique and livable rooms featuring timeless design with a multitude of creative options. The wood wool structure of the Heradesign™ panels provides a warm character to any design and USG’s collaboration with Knauf AMF combines a wealth of knowledge and decades of experience to provide this outstanding acoustic solution designed to improve well-being as well as performance.

USG Heradesign™ Wood Wool Panels exemplify simple elegance, as they are made from only three ingredients: magnesite, wool, and water. These panels come in 5 textures for various design requirements (Super Fine, Fine, Macro, Micro, and Plano) and are available in 2 applications:

Lay-In

• Ideal for retrofits to improve acoustical performance
• Available in 2’x2’ and 2’x4’ panels
• Natural beige finish
• Can be field painted
• Square and shadowline edges
• Up to 0.85 NRC value

Direct Mount

• Available in 2’x4’ and 2’x8’ panels
• Beveled edges on all sides or two sides
• Natural beige finish
• Up to 0.90 NRC value
• Can be applied to common surfaces such as wood, drywall, masonry, or steel
• Durable and sustainable—ideal for retrofitting

Acoustic SF™ Accessible Reveal Ceiling Tile

For an impressive monolithic ceiling, USG Acoustic SF™ Acoustical Panels provide the smooth and elegant finish sought after in the latest trends. The supporting suspension system is almost completely concealed by a special edge detail, making for an elegant aesthetic.

Manufactured and imported from Grafenau, Germany, Acoustic SF™ panels are installed from below, making them ideal for jobs with low plenum spaces:

• ¼” reveal between panels
• 0.70 NRC value
• 35 CAC sound attenuation value
• 0.88 light reflectance value
