A Statement From Chris Griffin, USG President and CEO

To our valued customers, 

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership during this unprecedented time. We continue working hard to be your preferred building materials supplier and meet our commitments to you.

As businesses across North America prepare to resume operations, we are taking actions to keep our employees and our customers safe. USG developed guidance for our sales teams to prepare to resume in-person customer visits.

We are following state and local guidelines, and, in general, we are asking our teams not to resume in-person visits until we gain confidence that the virus’ spread is further controlled. When our teams do resume in-person meetings, we will take numerous safety precautions to protect all of us, including daily health assessments, social distancing, and enhanced hygiene practices.

Our sales teams will continue to be creative in how we work with our customers, including connecting virtually and using digital tools as needed to collaborate. We also know that some of our customers have requested for us to continue serving them from afar, as they have their own policies to protect their people.

We are fortunate to have experienced very few interruptions to our operations. This is due in large part to the safety measures we have implemented at all of our locations. Should a disruption to our operations occur, we will communicate directly with impacted customers as needed.
