When applying self-leveling underlayment, is shot blasting required?
We recommend shot blasting for two main reasons. First, it is very difficult to determine if there are any contaminants that may affect the bond of the underlayment to the substrate which must be removed prior to application. Secondly, shot blasting assures the best possible physical bond of the product. If you feel that you have a job that does not need to be shot blasted, please call for further discussions.
