Medium-textured acoustical panels that provide fire protection and sag resistance. They are perfect for athletic areas and exercise rooms, schools, corridors, and dormitory rooms.
Rock Face ClimaPlus FIRECODE™ acoustical ceiling panels feature a specially compounded, textured surface with a hard core that withstands abuse and humidity. These panels also feature Superior Performance which means they contain a patented broad-spectrum antimicrobial standard formulation that inhibits and retards the growth of mold and mildew. The panels are made with a water-felted manufacturing process that provides good ceiling attenuation class (CAC) performance. The surface of the panel has perforations that aid in sound absorption, and they clean easily with a soft brush or vacuum.
The panels are classified as low-emitting; concentration levels do not exceed the 13.5 ppb limit required by California Special Environmental Requirements, Specifications Section 01350, and the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS). Their FIRECODE formulation contains special additives that increase fire resistance and may qualify for use in fire rated assemblies to help meet life safety codes.
The panels offer a 30-year system warranty to withstand temperature and humidity conditions up to 104°F (40°C)/95-percent relative humidity without visible sag when used with a USG DONN® Suspension System. They are guaranteed resistant to mold and mildew growth, subject to normal conditions.
