New Denver Plant Brings Faster Service to Colorado Market

We are excited to announce a new USG plant in Denver, Colorado, which will manufacture joint compounds and other interior finishing products for our customers in the western U.S. The plant, which will also serve as a distribution center, will further enhance our customer service with shorter lead times for our customers in Colorado, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana.
“The Denver plant enables us to better serve the growing construction markets in Colorado and the western U.S. with USG’s industry-leading joint treatment products. We are excited for this step as we work to provide quality products and top-notch service to our customers, in addition to strengthening the Denver community with safe, skilled jobs,” said Joe Holmes, President of USG’s Gypsum Division.
The 90,000-square foot facility will employ approximately 25 people and will be developed with an existing building in the Montbello neighborhood of Denver, providing important investment in the community.
“Construction and manufacturing have been integral for the Denver economy in the last 10 years, and we are grateful to see USG Corporation choosing us to open their first new plant in recent years, especially in a historic community like Montbello,” said Deborah Cameron, Denver Chief Business Development Officer.
The plant is expected to begin operations in the third quarter of 2021.
