USG Sheetrock® Brand UltraLight Panels Firecode® X are formulated to achieve all of the strength and performance characteristics as standard 5/8 in. USG Sheetrock® Brand Firecode® Panels at a significantly reduced weight. Featuring a noncombustible gypsum core that is encased in 100% recycled face and back papers, these 5/8 in. lightweight Type X panels have achieved GREENGUARD Gold Certification, are UL Classified for fire resistance and can be used in any UL Design where Type ULX panels are listed.

  • Listed by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) for use in fire-rated partitions when installed either vertically or horizontally with aligned tapered edges on standard and equivalent UL-approved 25-gauge studs (per UL Design U419)
  • UL Classification as to fire resistance, surface-burning characteristics  and noncombustibility
  • Comply with ASTM C1396 specification for 5/8 in. Type X gypsum wallboard
  • Offer comparable sound, strength, sag and impact resistance to standard 5/8 in. Type X
  • Achieved GREENGUARD Gold Certification and qualifies as a low VOC emitting material (meets CA 01350)
