Micore® SB Mineral Fiber Boardis a recognized component used in Type I and Type II floor protectors and wall shields classified in accordance to UL1618. Micore® SB Mineral Fiber Board is:
- Designed for use in stove board applications
- Manufactured by USG Interiors, LLC
NOTE - For best results, avoid exposing the board to excessive or continuous moisture. Installation and occupancy conditions should not exceed 85° F/70% RH.

No, the painting of Micore will impair acoustical and fire performance and will void all manufacturer warranties.

Can I install ceramic on Micore® Mineral Fiber Board?
This is not something we recommend. Instead, wesuggest using USG Durock® Brand Cement Board for this type of situation.
