COVID-19 outbreak declared at Hagersville CGC location
HAMILTON, ON - The Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at CGC’s manufacturing location in Hagersville, ON.
The Health Unit has implemented a public health management plan. Further updates will be shared as required.

While the situation related to COVID-19 is constantly evolving, we continue to monitor the outbreak and take actions to keep our employees, our families and our customers safe.
We are working hard to meet our commitments to you and, as of today, expect to deliver all orders as scheduled. USG/CGC has a strong network and, with a few exceptions, has the ability to deliver products from several locations. This allows us to meet your needs and manage any changes when we temporarily close a plant or distribution facility for deep cleaning. We are committed to making adjustments as needed and promise to communicate with you if we foresee any potential disruption to your order.
The last few weeks have proven that conditions can vary considerably on a local level, and we will continue to make decisions based on the information available. We take our responsibility of serving you seriously and will continue to fulfill your orders as long as we can safely maintain our operations. Put simply, our plan is to keep our facilities running as long as our employees can work safely and our customers continue to need our products.
We also have taken extra steps to keep our employees working safely, as nothing is more important than the safety and health of our people. We continue to actively monitor the latest guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to ensure we’re consistently implementing measures to protect our employees. This includes directing anyone to stay home when sick, intensifying sanitation in all our facilities, staggering break times to minimize crowding, and otherwise promoting social distancing.
