CGC Inc. Completes Acquisition of Imperial Building Products Ltd.; Sid Tetz Appointed General Manager of IBP

TORONTO, ON—September 3, 2025—CGC Inc. (CGC), a leading manufacturer of gypsum-based building materials and performance ceilings in Canada, has completed its acquisition of Imperial Building Products Ltd. (IBP), a Canadian manufacturer of quality steel stud, track, drywall trims and structural solutions. The transaction was originally announced on June 24 and closed on September 1, 2025.

In connection with the acquisition, CGC has appointed Sid Tetz, formerly Vice President of Sales and Marketing at CGC to lead the IBP business as its General Manager and Vice President of CGC. Tetz will lead IBP’s strategy, operations and transition as the companybegins its next chapter as part of CGC.

There are no immediate changes anticipated for employees, customers or suppliers. Both companies remain committed to facilitating a smooth transition process, while continuing to deliver industry-leading service, products and solutions.

Tetz brings extensive experience in the Canadian building materials sector, with a proven track record in driving growth and leading high-performing teams. Prior to joining CGC in 2022, he spent 15 years at Owens Corning where he held key leadership roles in both sales and manufacturing. He holds a master of business administration from the University of Alberta.

This acquisition positions CGC for accelerated national growth and deepens its presence in the Canadian construction industry.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition does not extend to Imperial Metal Services, Imperial Manufacturing Group or any other companies affiliated with IBP.

TORONTO, le 3 septembre 2025 —CGC inc. (CGC), un fabricant de premier plan de matériaux de construction à base de gypse et de plafonds performants au Canada, a achevé l’acquisition d’Imperial Building Products Ltd. (IBP), un fabricant canadien de montants en acier de qualité, de rails, de profilés pour cloisons sèches et de solutions structurelles. La transaction a été initialement annoncée le 24 juin et clôturée le 1^er septembre 2025.

Dans le cadre de l’acquisition, CGC a nommé Sid Tetz, anciennement vice-président des ventes et du marketing chez CGC, pour diriger l’entreprise IBP en tant que directeur général et vice-président de CGC. Tetz dirigera la stratégie, les opérations et la transition d’IBP alors que l’entreprise entame son prochain chapitre en tant que partie intégrante de CGC.

Tetz apporte une vaste expérience dans le secteur canadien des matériaux de construction, avec un parcours éprouvé dans la stimulation de la croissance et la direction d’équipes performantes. Avant de rejoindre CGC en 2022, il a passé 15 ans chez Owens Corning où il a occupé des rôles de leadership clés dans les ventes et la fabrication.
